Definition

The Moon (noun): Earth’s only natural satellite, and future home of humanity once we finally destroy our planet.

To moon someone (expression): To pull one’s pants down and expose one’s behind to someone.

The Moon in the news

In late August, Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, died. It was kind of a big deal.

In September, NASA sent the Curiosity Rover to Mars. It’s not the moon, but close enough, right?

Types of moons

Crescent moon — Based on the traditional French pastry.

Full moon — Known for causing wild drug parties in Thailand. Mooning encouraged.

Sun & Moon — Common South Korean names. Prohibited in North Korea.

Moon Matters

According to the Chinese, a rabbit lives on the moon. According to the Americans, an old man lives there.

In 100 years, rabbits are predicted to outnumber old men 1 billion to 1.
