Race<\/strong> (noun): A competition to see who is the fastest, or the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ex: My <\/em>greyhound<\/em><\/a> would thrash your <\/em>poodle<\/em><\/a>
in a race.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also<\/strong>: Term used to divide people into groups based on skin colour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ex: My poodle doesn\u2019t discriminate: no matter your age, race or gender, he will hump your leg.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note: a poodle is a \u2018breed\u2019 (not race) of dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Races in the news<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This month Hillary Clinton announced she would be running in the US Presidential race<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also running (for their lives), black people all over America trying to escape an increasingly brutal police force. Sorry, we couldn\u2019t make this funny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Racing backwards?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Racial violence, handguns, capital punishment, fracking, drought, more handguns, twisters, alligators, Tom Cruise\u2026 Americans can tolerate almost anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Land of freedom and opportunity, melting pot of cultures: race may no longer be an issue in the US presidential race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
