Definitions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To crush: <\/strong>to press something so hard that it breaks; to defeat convincingly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A crush:<\/strong> a romantic infatuation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ex: Oedipus has an embarrassing crush on his mother.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crushes in the\u00a0news<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

UK prime minister Theresa May\u2019s Brexit deal was crushed <\/strong>in parliament, 432 votes to 202. Theresa May (or may not) resign. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the biggest defeat in UK history (not including football matches against Germany).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t confuse “crush” with:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
