This month, Hongkongers stormed<\/strong> the parliament in protest of extradition laws to mainland China. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facing tear gas, Hongkongers weathered the storm <\/strong>with umbrellas, naturally<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stormy idioms<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A storm in a teacup<\/strong>: Big fuss for nothing. Ex: \u201cThis whole global warming thing is a storm in a teacup\u201d -Gas n\u2019Guns Magazine.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sh*tstorm<\/strong>. Wind + excrement. Fortunately just a metaphor for a violent controversy. Check the news for your local sh*tstorm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
